You want to be a YouTuber, right? Because I want to be a YouTuber too. Becoming a YouTuber has been my new year’s resolution for the past 3 to 4 years already, so this year I’m going to be one. Let’s do it together step by step, only ten steps.
Step 1. Set the goal
I have long-term and short terms — my long-term goal: 1 million subscribers before I become 30. I don’t think that’s a long term, but anyway, so dream big with your long term goal. My short term goals: next year have over 1000 subscribers and 40,000 watch hours, so I can monetize my channel, create at least three videos a week. That’ll be hard, to be honest, but I’ll try, and that’s my goal. And possibly starting vlog with special occasions in case I become famous.
The important thing is that I’m going to keep updating my goals, and I hope you to keep you update yours.

Step 2. Choose the Right Topic and Content
I have a main topic and several side topics. A lot of experienced YouTubers say it is important to be in one specific item, and I agree. But we don’t know which topic will attract the viewers, right? So I’m just going to have one main topic and then have some mini sides topic: potential main topics. Then, see which one I do the better and also the viewers like more.
Go ahead and come up with a list of topics that you want to cover and then choose the main topic than the several mini side topics. Additionally, when you select the main topic, think about affiliate marketing and advertisement sponsorship opportunities besides the YouTube Partnership Program in advance.
In that way, when you don’t meet the minimum requirement to put the ad on your YouTube, such as less than 1,000 subscribers, maybe there’s a chance for you to do some other affiliate marketing and sponsorship with the company outside of YouTube.

On the other hand, having several side topics can be confusing, so it would be good to have separate playlists on one channel. I’m going to have a new trends playlist, and a playlist for the dictionary and also the playlist for myself learning for the programming language(IF I end up learning).
Another essential thing to consider when you choose the topic is to target audiences. For me, I’m going to make videos in English with Korean subtitles, so my target audiences on language, either English or Korean, and age 20 to 40. Still, I probably will also aim teenagers as well and also targeting who’s interested in technology and marketing and new trends.
What you can do is just pause this video right now and then come up with your list the list of topics that you want to cover and don’t come back after you have the list then follow this step-by-step again!
The video length I want to keep my YouTube as short as possible, so I would like to aim 5 to 12 minutes less than 15 minutes usually, but who knows this one might be longer than 20. but it’s essential to understand that a video longer than 10 minutes you can put more than one ads in the video so you might want to consider that when you make the video and
Step 3. Come Up with The Brand Name: the channel name
My process with coming up with the brand name; had the keywords that I want to include and then combine all of them then come up with that combination list; then I choose some top three out of the list then I do the research on Google like if anything has already taken. Then I make a logo out of it.
There are many accessible logo maker websites that you can use; Taylor brand, Turbo logo, and Brand Crowds. But I can also see that these days trends of the YouTuber are to use their name as the channel name, so maybe I’ll just use my name, Jade Choi.

Step 4. Get the equipment
Camera, I’m using my iPhone XR, not too bad. I tried to use my camera, which I had a long time ago, but the sound quality of the camera was horrible. I just decided to use my phone instead good thing I didn’t buy any camera and also I’m using my Mac Pro to just do this recording on my screen thing so for the Lightning I have to look spat 22 right now shining on me, and then I also have the circle beam. And the microphone I have something small, but I don’t know where it is, so I maybe use it later if I have to. My phone was capturing my voice fine, so I just didn’t buy anything.
Lastly, the editing tool, I’m using the Filmora lifetime plan. I was a YouTuber for like a year for a company, the blockchain startup company, so I was just getting the salary for making the YouTube video, and the editor used Adobe Adobe pro filmmaker, but that’s expensive as you know. Hence, film or a lifetime I got it because it’s like 59.99 less than 60 bucks that’s cheap for the lifetime.

Step 5. Create Your Channel
Creating your channel is so easy you just log in or sign in with a Google account on YouTube, so you go ahead and do that. Done.

Step 6. Set a Schedule
I use Notion for my content scheduling, and it’s excellent like right now I’m using notion for everything like even filming and like all the workspace goals and agenda, calendar, content list, and everything. The Notion might help you be to keep up with everything, even for your daily life. Therefore, I highly recommend the Notion.
Step 7. Make and Upload Your Videos
That’s what I’m doing right now, making it, and I have to edit then upload it, so if you’re watching this right now, I have successfully created and upload my video. Yay. I hope you like my thumbnail because I don’t know how it will turn out yet. The thumbnail maker recommendations; Canva, Picmaker, and also the youtube thumbnail maker or just google it each of them had a lot of templates that I can use, so maybe you can find the one that you’ll like.
Step 8. Learn YouTube SEO: Search Engine Optimization
To be honest, I haven’t studied yet too much for the SEO I was just too busy making this one, so my YouTube SEO tips video is coming up after this on you be laughs or Jade Choi. If you want to know some useful youtube SEO tips subscribe to this channel, it’s coming up I don’t know when but hopefully very soon.
Step 9. Create Your Community
When you click the share button on the YouTube video, there are more than ten communities that you can share so Facebook Twitter of course possibly Reddit even LinkedIn or email so I’m going to make my account on a lot of those social media then I have so many recommendations; TikTok, Instagram, Medium, Telegram. It totally depends on your target audiences. For my target audiences, maybe all of them. They are the rising channels among the millionaires, so I’ll definitely try all of them and then probably minimize it into the most effective top three ones and also I’m going to create my own websites with the blog.

Creating a website is not that hard these days um I don’t have to know any programming language, on wix.com I just have to choose the answers for few questions and then it will just automatically create my website for me so I did this fixed ADI creating and I choose the features that I want to have it on.
Boom! I have both PC and mobile versions of the website I haven’t done anything on that yet but I’m definitely uploading this video.

Step 10. Promote The YouTube Video
After uploading a video on YouTube like I’m going to make my own routine or promoting my video so I’ll have it on my website and definitely on youtube probably on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, etc. Come up with your own routine for promoting your video for your target audiences.
